Dianne M. (Roepsch) Breitbach, 67, of Dubuque, died suddenly Saturday, March 1, 2008, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where friends may call after 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 5. Burial will be held at a later date.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1940, in Dubuque, daughter of Robert W. and Madelyn (Beyhl) Smith.

Dianne worked as a director at Albrecht Acres, and for many years she worked with special needs people. Prior to that she worked for many Dubuque area restaurants.

She was an avid bowler and golfer, and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. Her family was very important to her especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are four daughters, Carrie (Steve) Braun, Dana (Roger) Coffin, and Lei Anne (Rusty) Bettcher, all of Dubuque, and Marla (Carl) Leuenberger, of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Thomas, Brett, Cassandra, Jennifer, Julie, Ryan, Scott, Stephanie, Eric and Levi; two step-grandchildren, Chris and Jason; three great-grandchildren, Austin, N'Kaylis, and Kaylie; siblings, Robert (Sandy) Smith, Mary (David) Wright, Lynn (Lynn Ann) Smith, Scott (Martha) Smith, Kevin (Ann) Smith and Cathy (Robert) Morley, all of Dubuque, Gerald Smith, of Martinez, Calif., Terry (Janice) Smith, of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Karen Smith.
