Delores R. Cooper
Delores R. (Fassbinder) Cooper, 75, of Ennoble Manor, formerly of St. Louis, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Key West, with the Rev. Donald Bakewell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, until times of services at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.
She was born on May 13, 1932, in Guttenberg, daughter of Hubert and Lucile (Matt) Fassbinder. She married Larry Cooper; he preceded her in death.
She was in the Franciscan Community for many years. She attended Washington University of St. Louis, where she received her masters degree. She taught school for many years, including at St. Mary's and Aquin both in Cascade.
Surviving are four sisters, Dorothy Ehlinger, of La Motte, Janet Miniaci, of Dubuque, Lois Cunningham, of Marina Del Ray, Calif., and Geanne Bush, of Glendale; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Fassbinder; and a sister, Mary Schiffer.
