Leanne H. Frantz

Leanne H. Frantz, 60, of 1224 Heron Lakes Circle, Mobile, Ala., formerly of Dubuque, died at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 11, 2008, at home following a long illness.

She will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens, Mobile.

She was born on March 21, 1947, in Oakland, Calif., daughter of Robert and Marie Hansel. She attended Nativity Grade School, Visitation Academy and graduated from Wahlert High School, all in Dubuque.

She married David M. Frantz on June 22, 1969, in Dubuque; he preceded her in death.

She was a faithful member of Knollwood Assembly of God Church, in Mobile.

Her greatest joy in life was ministering the love of Jesus Christ to others and opening her home for Bible studies and prayer, taking in missionaries and being a wonderful, loving wife and mother to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons, Jeff (Courtney), John (Stacey) and Steve; a daughter, Katie; four grandchildren; her mother, Marie Hansel; her siblings, Susie Ehrler Woodward, David Hansel, Karen Raymond, Steven Hansel, Victoria Fury, Kate McGovern, Carolyn Achen and Kriss Nauman.

She also was preceded in death by her father.
