Mary A. Maule

Mary A. "Mitzy" Maule, 79, of 2000 Pasadena St., died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday Feb. 7, 2008, at The Finley Hospital.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, with Deacon Tim LoBianco officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mary was born on May 7, 1928, in Dubuque, daughter of Mike and Mary Belle (Van Zile) Konzen. She married Harry Maule, who preceded her in death in 1993.

She worked for a while as a waitress at the Chateau Super Club, and lastly was a secretary at Dubuque John Deere Works.

She loved to read, do art work and paint, and especially enjoyed her garden and her great roses.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Lynn Lott, of Lenox, Kan., and Maureen (Ken) Erickson, of Key West; two sons, Larry Maule, of Dubuque, and Harry (Laura) Maule, of Norway, Wis.; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; a sister Ellie (Clarence) Avenarius of Dubuque, and a brother Melvin Konzen of Gilbert, Ariz., and a sister-in-law, Julie Konzen of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Wilfred Konzen; three sisters, Eileen Patters, Cecelia Frank, and Wilma Bahl; two sisters-in-law, Goldie and Alvina Konzen; and three brothers-in-law, Bob Patters, James Frank and Robert Bahl.
