CASCADE, Iowa -- Regina "Anne" Burger, 78, of Cascade, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Private services will be held at a later date. Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville.

She was born on Sept. 7, 1929, in Cascade, daughter of Ed and Cleo (McNally) Lasche. She graduated from St. Martins High School in Cascade.

She married Ernie A. Burger on Jan. 20, 1951, at St. Martins Catholic Church in Cascade. Together they ran Burger's Garage in Worthington, from 1953 until their retirement in 1978, when they moved to their farm. Anne also worked as a clerk for the cities of Worthington and Cascade.

She loved the farm and would spend time gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ernie; her children, Vicki (Dean) Kramer, of Sand Springs, Julie (Dennis) Schilling, of Dubuque, Lolly Burger, of Delhi, Ernie J. (Adella) Burger, of Vina Del Mar, Chile, and Lori Miller, of Earlville; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Chuck (Parma) Lasche, of Des Moines; sisters, Lolly Harding, of Del Rio, Texas, Phyllis (Don) Appleby, of Monticello, and Jane (Tom) Freel, of Grosse Isle, Mich.; a brother-in-law, Gerald (Ruth) Burger, of Dubuque; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Burger, of Masonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Lasche; a brother-in-law, Alvin Burger; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Verla Sue and Olan Tegeler.
