Infant Tadhg M. Kilgore 2008

Tadhg Michael Kilgore, three month old son of Paul J. and Michelle M. (Cripps) Kilgore, of 2765 Buena Vista St., died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services will be at noon Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ardel H. Harta and the Rev. James Dubert officiating. Private family burial services will be in Linwood Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

Tadhg was born on Oct. 12, 2007, in Dubuque, son of Paul J. and Michelle M. (Cripps) Kilgore. He was born with a congenital heart disease and died while on the National Heart Transplant List.

Tadhg was a little fighter. He taught all who knew him about courage, hope and strength over his short three months of life.

Surviving are his parents, Paul and Michelle Kilgore, of Dubuque; a sister, Julia F. Kilgore, at home; his maternal grandparents, Rebecca and Doug Cripps, of Andalusia, Ill.; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Monica (Dubert) Kilgore, of Dubuque; aunts and uncles, Michael and Jacey Cripps, and their daughter, Clara Cripps, of Muscatine, Iowa, Jennifer Eubanks, of Des Moines, Maureen Kilgore, of Dubuque, Christopher Kilgore, of Iowa City, Susan Kilgore, of Iowa City, and Justine Kilgore, of Dubuque; and his godparents, Kathleen Lenaghan and Jay Miller.

Thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital for their tireless and dedicated efforts to help Tadhg. Thank you also to the students and staff at Dubuque Senior High School for all their support and the staff and members of St. Patrick's Church and our family and friends for their continued prayers and support.
