Mary Elizabeth (Lindenberg) Murray, 87, of Darien, Conn., died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, in Pittsfield, Mass.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, Jan. 5, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Darien, with burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. The Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien, was in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Dubuque, second daughter of Mary (Kilty) and Carl Lindenberg. She attended Visitation Academy and Clarke College.

She married Charles D. Murray in New York City, in 1947, where they lived before moving to Darien; he preceded her in death in 1997.

Surviving are four children; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, William, of Ontario, Canada.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Lora Dougherty, in 2004.
