Richard L. Miller, 69, of 2955 Kaufmann Ave., died at 5:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at Dubuque Nursing & Rehab Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery. Burial will follow. The Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on April 7, 1938, in Iowa City, son of Leonard and Geraldine (Frith) Miller. He married Grace Ann Hildebrand; she preceded him in death in January 1997.

Richard worked as an iron worker for many years and was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 89.

Surviving are two sisters, Judith (Ronald) Ellerie and Sandra (Steven) Bahl, both of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Albert, Leonard and Franklin.
