Carol M. Lynch, 68, of Dubuque, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, Ill.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Melleray, rural Peosta, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Holy Family Church Cemetery. The Hoffmann Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

Carol was employed with A.Y. McDonald.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1939, in Bernard, Iowa, daughter of William and Clara (Schneider) Schuster.

Carol was a resilient person, and her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She dearly loved to receive photos and visits from them.

Surviving are sons, William (Cathy) Lynch, of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Thomas (Tina) Lynch, of Brush Creek, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Clara, Elizabeth and Makenzie; seven brothers, Henry (Bernice) Schuster, of Zwingle, Iowa, Joseph (Alverna) Schuster, of Bernard, Richard (Geraldine) Schuster, of Shullsburg, Wis., Ray (Lorraine) Schuster, William (Lorraine) Schuster, Loras (Lois) Schuster and Gerald (Lola) Schuster, all of Dubuque; a sister, Mary (Mahlon) Scheckel, of Springbrook, Iowa; and a dear friend, Barbara Hackbarth, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Veronica.

The family would like to thank the Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna for all their care and compassion.
