Mrs. Ernest (Ruby) Petty, 83, died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday (4 Apr. 1981) at Sunnycrest Manor, Dubuque.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the De Wachter-Haudenshield Funeral Home, 2170 Central Ave., where friends may call from 12:30 p.m. Tuesday until time of services. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Petty, the former Ruby Cavanaugh, was born in Wadena, Iowa.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Lorraine) Fischer of Dubuque and Mrs. Irvin (Adele) Little of Sterling, Mich.; two sons, John S. of Marysville, Kan., and Raymond of Dubuque; 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Lyons of Minneapolis and Mrs. Frank (Bernice) Harry of McGregor, Iowa, and two brothers, Albert Cavanaugh of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Ralph Cavanaugh of Dubuque.
