Frank W. Fischer, 62, of 2260 Green Street, Dubuque, a retired farmer died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Hazel Green, Wis., hospital, after a one-year illness.

The body is at the Egelhof funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday, and from which the funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday to the Grandview Avenue Methodist Church. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery.

The Rev. Gerald E. Bisbee will officiate.

Fischer was born Jan. 1, 1887, at Five Points, Center township, a son of the late John and Margaret Fischer. He operated a farm there until five years ago, when he retired and moved to Dubuque. He had lived here since then.

He was married Dec. 30, 1914, to Anna Goetzinger.

Named secretary of the Five Points creamery during its organization in 1920, he had held that office until he died.

He was a member of the Grandview Avenue Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Dolores) Arlen, of Dubuque; two sons, Harold Fischer, of Dubuque, and La Verne Fischer, of Five Points; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dan (Julia) Binder and Mrs. Emma Bany, both of Dubuque; and two brothers, John Fischer, of Manchester, Ia., and George Fischer, of Durango. He was preceded by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Bartels, and one brother in infancy.
