Gerald E. Kelly

Chapel services for Gerald E. Kelly, 48, 7865 Galaxy Court, Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Dubuque, and Rockford, Ill., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Kelly was formerly employed at Lear Foam Factory, Dubuque, as a truck driver.

He was born on Jan. 3, 1948, in Dubuque, son of Bueford J. and Katherine L. (Hanon) Kelly. He died at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 1996, at home.
He served with the Air Force for two years and was a former member of the Dubuque Boat Club. He loved his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Sheri Kelly, of Pensacola; seven daughters, Kathy (Dale) Hoffman, Beverly, Bobbie Jo, Jennifer, Buffy, Jamie and Amanda Kelly; four sons, Kevin (Kristie) Lightfoot, Jerry (Deb) Kelly Jr., and B. J. and Justin Kelly; 10 grandchildren and four step grandchildren; his mother, Katherine Kelly, of Dubuque; three sisters, Judy (Paul) Hockheimer and Beverly (Thomas) Goin, both of Dubuque, and Joannn (Jerry) Hogan, of Hazel Green, Wis.; five brothers, Harold (Doris) Kelly and William (Sue) Kelly, both of Dubuque, Ronald Kelly, of Rockford, Ill., Frank (Sue) Kelly, of Bernard, Iowa, and Steven Kelly, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bueford J. Kelly, on Sept. 7, 1989.

In lieu of flowers, a Gerald E. Kelly Memorial Fund has been established.
