GEORGE HOOKS

May 18, 1928George Hooks died at a local hospital this morning at 6:20 o'clock, following a day's illness.
He was born in Platteville, Wis., Feb. 29, forty years ago, and had resided in this city for the past twelve years. He was employed with the road construction company.
He is survived by his wife, six children, Evelyn, Anna, Lucille, Alice, Virgil and Delbert; one sister, Mrs. Harry Cordes, of Platteville, and two brothers, Samuel Hooks, Mt. Hope, and Bert Hooks, Platteville.
The remains are lying in state at the Haudenshield Funeral Home, 2170 Central Avenue, where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in Linwood.
