MRS. JOHN M. (Florence Lightfoot) HOOKS SPECHT

July 3, 1952Mrs. John M. (Florence) Specht, 56, of 2590 Roosevelt Street, died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Finley Hospital after an extended illness.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Haudenshield Funeral Home, 1258 Main Street. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday to Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Specht was born June 28, 1896, in Grant County, Wisconsin. She lived in Dubuque for 39 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. B. B. (Evelyn) Peck, of Cairo, Ill., Mrs. Anna Roche, of Wrenthan, Mass., and Mrs. Leo (Lucille) Olinger and Miss Alice Specht, both of Dubuque; three sons, Delbert G. Hooks, John Specht, Jr., and Clement Specht, all of Dubuque; two sisters, Mrs. Peter Schmitt, of Dubuque, and Mrs. Gus Almburg, of Dundee, Fla.; one brother, William O. Lightfoot of Dubuque and 14 grandchildren. One son, Virgil L. Hooks, died Jan. 24, 1944 in World War II.
