Leland J. Perrin

BLOOMINGTON, Wis. - Leland J. Perrin, 91, of Bloomington, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at Grant Regional Health Center, Lancaster.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington, with the Rev. Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. today at the church. The Martin Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on July 4, 1915, in Waterloo Township, Potosi, son of James and Minnie (Rech) Perrin. Leland was united in marriage to Vivian Durnen on April 18, 1942, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington.

He was a longtime Bloomington-area farmer with Registered Angus cattle and he also had an interest in training and racing trotters and pacers. Leland has held offices in the Registered Angus Association and the United States Trotting Association.

Surviving are his wife, Vivian, of Lancaster; two sisters, Dorothy Okey, of Dubuque, and Ruth (Woodie) Grisham, of Saledo, Texas; his special friends, Rosann Horkheimer and Iola Knutson, both of Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Charles, Frank, Virgil and Donald Perrin; and two sisters, Opal Lewis and Lucille Ackerman.
