DEATH CALLS JOHN KASSEL

OLD RESIDENT SUCCUMBS TO BRIGHT'S DISEASE AT HOME OF HIS DAUGHTER

John Kassel, aged 67 years, died Wednesday night at 11 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. A. Flick, 2873 Elm street. The deceased had suffered from Bright's disease for several months and death resulted from that malady.

The deceased was a member of the Court of Honor and of the Catholic church, and was a well know and highly respected resident of the community. He is survived by his wife and four children, Mrs. A. A. Flick and William, of Dubuque; Walter, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. F. Chase, of Iowa City; also by one sister, Mrs. Horace Burnam, of Monona, Ia. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from the residence, 2873 Elm street, to the Holy Ghost church, and burial will be at Mt. Calvary.
