John W. Noonan. Services for John W. Noonan, 43, 2509 Washington St., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 4:30 p.m. Mr. Noonan owned and operated Noonan’s Tap in Dubuque for the past 15 years. He also formerly worked at Jackson Tuckpointing. He was born on Sept. 10, 1950, in Hazel Green, Wis., son of Francis and Beverly (Rupert) Noonan. He died at 5 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 1993, at home. He married Debbie Ross on Sept. 5, 1969, in Holy Cross, Iowa. He was a member of the Tavernkeepers Association, and a former member of Operating Engineers Local 234. Surviving are a son, David, of Dyersville; his mother, Mrs. Beverly Noonan, of Peosta, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lou Kamp of Peosta, and Bonnie Lee Peebles of Holy Cross. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Noonan. A John W. Noonan Memorial Fund has been established.
