Edward P. Baumgartner, 48, of 811 East Findlay, Lot 54, Carey, Ohio, formerly of Dubuque, died of natural causes at 12:10 p.m. Monday, May 13, 1991, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Ohio. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., Dubuque. Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque. Mr. Baumgartner was a food service director at the A.V.I. Whirlpool plant in Findlay. He was born on Feb. 27, 1943, in Dubuque, son of John and Laurene (Kline) Baumgartner. He married Sharon Margaret Loney on Jan. 7, 1968; she survives. He was an Air Force veteran, having served from 1963-67. He was a member of the Basilica of our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, a past member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Cincinnati and a past Cub Scout master. Also surviving are two sons, Steven and Jason, and a daughter, Kerri Baumgartner, all of Carey; three brothers, John and Richard, both of Dubuque, and Robert of Denver; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Koch, Theresa Pregler, Mrs. Roger (Rita) Shaw and Mrs. Wayne (Ileane) Deutsch, all of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be given to Wahlert High School, Dubuque.
