Mary V. Vandermillen – Services for Mrs. Mary Veronica (Noonan) Vandermillen, 74, of 128 Cherokee Drive, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Avenue, where a wake service will be said at 5 p.m. She was born on May 21, 1916, in Jackson County, Iowa, daughter of William and Mary (Dodds) Noonan. She died at 1:10 a.m., Monday, May 13, 1991 at home. She married Henry J. Vandermillen on February 12, 1934, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubuque; he died on Feb. 3, 1986. Surviving are six sons, Edmund Vandermillen of Milford, Pa., Michael Vandermillen, James B. Vandermillen, Joseph Vandermillen and Raymond Vandermillen, all of Dubuque, and Donald Vandermillen of Bonita Springs, Fla., a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Marguerite) Callahan of Minneapolis, Minn.; 25 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Noonan of Morris, Ill., and Neal Noonan of Braidwood, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Nezeskyof of Morris, Ill., and Mrs. Kathleen Keating of Dubuque. A Mary Veronica Vandermillen Memorial Fund has been established.
