RICKARDSVILLE, Iowa -- Services for Mrs. Bill (Doris M.) Sahm, 57, 19693 Route 52 N., Rickardsville, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rickardsville.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, Dubuque, where there will be a St. Joseph's Catholic Church parish Christian wake service at 4 p.m.
She was born May 5, 1939, in Holy Cross, daughter of Alphonse and Coletta (Zewen) Lake. She died at 1:32 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 1996, at home.
She married William A. "Bill" Sahm Aug. 29, 1959, at Holy Cross (Iowa) Catholic Church.
She grew up in Holy Cross and graduated from the former Holy Cross High School in 1957. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rickardsville and its rosary society. She enjoyed her family, country living, playing cards and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Surviving are her husband, William A. "Bill" Sahm, two sons, Mike G. and Terry K. Sahm, both at home; three daughters, Diane (Bill Brown, of Peosta, Karen (Carl) Domeyer, of Manchester, and Debbie (Brian) Vorwald, of Rickardsville; 12 grandchildren, Scott, Matt, Kayla, Billy and Brandon Domeyer, Robbie, Austin, Samantha and Maria Brown and April, Emily and Jonathan Vorwald, a sister, Helen (Fred) Westhoff, of New Vienna, and two brothers, Donald (Shirley) Lake and David (Lou) Lake, both of Holy Cross.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Lake.
