John M. GLASGOW, 57, Dubuque, and a former resident of Fairfield, died Tues. at Rapid City, S.D., where he and his daughter were visiting. The body is being returned to Muscatine where last rites and burial will take place. A mechanical engineer, was with the city engineering department in Fairfield before moving to Muscatine several years ago.

Born Dec. 27, 1906, in Jefferson County, son of Ira N. and Lucy BOOTH GLASGOW; reared and educated in this community, and married in 1938 Martha GALPIN of Muscatine. She preceded her husband in death in 1953. Until recently GLASGOW had been associated with Durant and Berquist, an engineering firm in Dubuque.

He is survived by two daughters: Lucy, who resides in Fairfield; Sue, Dubuque; one brother, C. O. GLASGOW, Marshalltown; and two sisters, Grace and Katherine, both of Fairfield.
