JOHN G. DUNKLEY, SR.

John G. Dunkley Sr. died Friday morning at 6 o’clock at the family home on Millville Road.
He was born in North Hampshire, England, June 9,1852, and was brought to this country when six months old, the family settling in Dubuque. He was engaged in farming and teaming, retiring 20 years ago.
His wife, Mrs. Ida Schmidtt Dunkley, survives him, with four daughters; Mrs. Joseph Czizek and Miss Jessie Dunkley, Des Moines, IA.; Mrs. Ed Mulgrew and Mrs. Frank Fincel, of Dubuque; one son, John G. Dunkley, Jr., Dubuque; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Four sons, three sisters, and two brothers preceded him in death.

The body is resting at the Egelhof Home for Funerals where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery.
