Moreland-Burlage
The marriage of Nicolas Burlage, son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Burlage of this city, and Miss Frances Moreland occurred in the Catholic Church at Colesburg Wednesday morning at 8 o’clock, before a company of many guests, including relatives and many friends, the ceremony was performed and nuptial mass celebrated by Rev. Father Manogue, of Elkport. The bride was becomingly gowned in a dress of handsome white material and was attended by her sister, Miss Kate, who acted as bridesmaid and was prettily attired in in sheer white batiste. Mr. Charles Kramer, of Dyersville served as groom and best man.
Following the impressive ceremony, and after felicitations had been extended to the happy couple, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
The bride is the third eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Moreland, of Colesburg. She is a young lady gifted with an amiable disposition which has won for her the admiration of a large circle of friends, who are extending to her most cordial congratulations.
Mr. Burlage is one of our city’s prominent young businessman, being an interested member of the firm of Muehe & Burlage, implement dealers.
