Frank Schmitt (1857-1938) and Margaret (Wolf) Schmitt (1858-1924) farmed in the Bankston area after their marriage, later moving to Farley. They had six children: George, Mary Ann Hoefer, Kate Hess, Michael, Nicholas and Elizabeth Neuman.
