Hugo Krapfl was born in Elgin, Nebraska (1906-1992) and married Alvina Osterhaus in 1932. They farmed west of Farley from 1933-1964. Hugo was a councilman for twelve years and was known for raising and lowering the United States flag in front of the Memorial Hall each day, whatever the weather or temperature. The Krapfl’s had eight children.
