Frank & Ann J. (Mulholm) King 1821-1899

Frank King originally from Vermont was born March 27, 1821. Mr. King was a blacksmith. His wife Jane was born about 1822 in Canada. The older King children were born in New York before the family came to Iowa in 1855. In 1856, they located in Farley building the third house in town. Frank and Jane’s family grew while living here. (On later records Mr. King’s wife is listed as Ann J. It is uncertain if this is the same wife or a second marriage). Mr. King died in March of 1899. He buried at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Wife, Ann J. Mulholm, died Feb. 15, 1871 at the age of 49. The King children were Frank, born 1846; Nelson B., born 1848; Adaline, born 1849; Rupell, born 1852; Joseph, born 1854; James, born 1856; Anna, born 1857; and Charles, born 1859.
