Andrew Kelly was born in Swineford, County Mayo, Ireland on Nov. 6, 1881. Andrew Kelly was the son of James and Catherine Hanegan Kelly and came to this county in 1884 at the age of three. On Sept. 17, 1906, he married Regina Keefe who was born in Sept. 1880 in Farley. Andrew owned the Kelly grocery store in town for over 40 years. He served on the school board and several city offices. They had seven children: Dr. J. D.; Emmett, Ester Hickman, Hildred (Mildred)?, Bonnie Weld, Rosemary Clark, and Margaret Gillon.
