Andrew Elliott was born in Iowa about 1825. The Elliott family was involved with the development of a Catholic parish in Farley. Andrew’s mother Mary was born in Ireland in 1785/88. She along with her other son Michael, lived in Andrew’s household.

(Michael remained there until his marriage in 1867). The older Mrs. Elliott passed away at the age of 94 in May of 1879. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery in Farley. Andrew Elliott married Mary McGuigan, the only daughter of Lawrence and Catherine McGuigan of northeast Farley. Mary was born in Ireland about 1831/35. The Elliott family moved to Wisconsin in 1880. Andrew and Mary had three children: Lawrence, Michael Henry and John. Lawrence died in 1870 age 7. He is buried near his grandmother. John was born in Farley in 1870; he opened a grocery store with Michael Callahan in the Kelly Building in 1884.
