Daniel Murphy was a shoemaker in Farley. He was born in Ireland in 1835. Mr. Murphy’s wife, Marriah, was also born in Ireland. They came to Farley in 1869 with a family of five children, all being born in Illinois: John, Mary, James, Ellen and Daniel.
