R. M. Fitzgerald was a merchant in Farley. R. M. was born in Co. Cork, Ireland in 1842, the son of Emily and John Fitzgerald. His wife Mary E. Fitzgerald a native of Massachuettes and born in 1852. R. M. lived there only a short time. He died at age 28 on Nov. 1, 1870. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery.
