George T. Tracey and his wife Mary Ann farmed in Farley in Sections, 19, 20, and 30 of Taylor Township. George died Nov. 24, 1894 at age 64. Mrs. Tracey died March 18, 1879. Both are buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. They had six known children: one son of Corning, Iowa; John who died at one month of age in 1877; Maggie; Nellie Murphy; James and Hugh all of Farley. Son Hugh died at age 21 of consumption in Dec. 1899. James farmed on the family property.
