MADE A GOOD HAUL
~
A Sneak Thief Gets $150 at Charlie
Meyer’s Saloon
~
While Charlie Meyer, proprietor of the saloon at the corner of Third and Main Streets, was out on the sidewalk Sunday night just before 11 o’clock, a sneak thief entered from the rear, and stole a box containing $150 and several notes from behind the bar. The thief was wise enough not to attempt to open the drawer of the cash register, for if he had a bell would have rung and attracted the attention of the proprietor. Mr. Meyer is confident he was not out on the sidewalk more than four minutes.
