~
While Attempting to Oust an
Unruly Customer the Proprietor
Is Injured
~
Peter Gross the proprietor of a saloon at the corner of Seventeenth and Washington Streets was seriously injured last night while attempting to oust a stranger who became unruly in his saloon. The proprietor was successful in getting the boisterous visitor out through the front door, and just as he was about to close the front door on the fellow, the latter shoved Mr. Gross onto the sidewalk where he tripped and fell alightening upon his head. A severe scalp wound resulted which required the attention of a physician who placed several stitches in the wound.
