Crazy Snake, the Captured Creek Indian Chief 1901

JEFF, DAVIS, CRAZY SNAKE

Dubuque Daily Telegraph – Feb. 4, 1901

Crazy Snake, the captured Creek Indian chief who recently rebelled the allotment of tribal lands in Indian Territory to the individuals of the tribes, is to be charged with treason. Realizing that Jeff-Davis escaped Crazy Snake is not in much danger, Rocky Mountain papers apparently regret that the charge isn’t buckshot instead of treason.
