Mrs. Nation’s Manager Says
There is a Big Demand
For Her Services.

Mrs. Carrie Nation, the Kansas saloon wrecker, is going to Des Moines and she will probably stop off in Dubuque on her way to Chicago. Miss Schontz in her address yesterday at the Baptist Church announced that arrangements are being made for Mrs. Nation. The now celebrated woman will appear in the capital city under the auspices of the Y. M. C. A. On her way to Dubuque Miss Schontz met Mrs. Nation’s manager, and the latter said that the demand for Mrs. Nation’s services are immense. It is said that an effort is being made by Dubuque persons to have her come here.

A week ago Mayor Berg gave out a story to the effect that Mrs. Nation was going to visit this city. From present indications the mayor must have gotten a tip.
