An Iowa Captain In Difficulty – The St. Paul Pioneer mentions the arrest of an Iowa Army Captain named J. Lockwood, late of the 9th Calvary, who was arrested for stealing a horse, riding out a with a fast woman, and then offering the horse for sale, receiving $100. He and an accomplice were committed in the sum of $300 for their appearance at the October term of the District Court.
