Off For Idaho

The valorous proclamation of Gov. Stone forbidding citizen from leaving the State for the gold regions of the West, have thus far been quite inoperative and void, and has not certainly had the effect of restraining anyone for starting out, so far as we have been able to learn. Every day chronicled the departure of some new party. Among those who have lately started is J. B. Barnes, for a long time connected with the Herald establishment. He carries with him to the “far off country” the best wishes of all those who have been associated with him.

A four mule team, belonging to James Horne, of Sinsinawa Mound, well rigged and supplied with a complete outfit, passing through the city yesterday for Idaho. We learn that James McNear, of this city, intends, with a party of others, to start for the new Eldorado shortly. The fever is on the increase.
