FAST DRIVING – The Main Street Policeman, M. Ahern, had occasion yesterday to arrest a man by the name of Christian Sutter, for persistently is driving along Main Street faster than the law allows. He did not heed the voice of warning, and was taken before Squire Mills to answer for the violation of the city ordinance. A fine of $3 and costs were imposed for the privilege of making a race track of the Main Street, which he paid, and again mounted his chariot, throwing up his hat in triumph. He defied the law and started again upon a 2:40 speed for the lower part of this city. Mike endeavors to arrest his flight, but was not quite fleet enough to do so.
