A LIVE WOLF-Mrs. Littlefield of Cattesse, captured a live wolf in a trap yesterday, and brought it to the city for the purpose of obtaining the bounty paid for the scalp of theses carnivorous animals. It was caught in a trap by one of its fore legs, which was badly lacerated thereby. While Mr. L. had it in his sleigh chained by the neck, a ferocious white bull dog was set upon it, and even in its lame condition and chained, it gave the dog a lively turn; but the proceeding was cruel in the extreme, and a humane man would have put the animal out of its misery at the time it was caught. We presume it is a dead wolf by this time.
