DEATH OF AUGUST BISTRAM

AGED RESIDENT PASSES AWAY
SUNDAY MORNING

August Bistram, Sr., an old and highly esteemed resident of this city, died Sunday morning at 10 o’clock at the family resident, 1012 Lincoln Avenue, after an illness of three weeks, due to infirmities incident to old age.

Mr. Bistram was born August 21, 1829, at Neustadt, West Prussia, Germany. In 1861 he was married to Miss Ida Palsoch at Dansing, Germany, and in 1866 the couple came to America, settling in Dubuque the same years where they have since lived. Mr. Bistram was a man of splendid character, and his life was lived without a blemish. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church for many years.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters and three sons, Mrs. N. N. Wampach, of Curtis, Oklahoma; Mrs. Peter Breson, R. A. August Jr., and B. B. Bistram, all of this city.
