To Miss Lizzie Firzlaff at
Davenport Monday

The marriage of Miss Lizzie Firzlaff and Mr. Albert Wunder, both residents of this city, took place at the home of the groom’s brother, Mr. William Wunder in Davenport at 11:00 o’clock Monday morning. The couple was attended by Miss Minnie Doescher, who acted as bridesmaid and the groom’s brother, William who stood as groomsman. The attendants are both residents of Dubuque.

The marriage was a quiet affair, the ceremony only being witnessed by a few of the friends and relatives of the groom. The happy couple returned to Dubuque Monday evening over the Milwaukee railroad at eight o’clock, and was met at the depot by a large number of their friends, mostly members of several organizations of which the groom is a member. Committees from the Journeymen’s Plumbers’ Union Lodge, of Redmond, and from the Old Pawnee Club, which is now out of existence, acted as escort to the couple who were seated in an open carriage to the home of the groom’s parents on Washington and Thirteenth Streets, where congratulations were extended them by a large number of their friends.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Firzlaff. She is a prepossessing young lady enjoying the friendship and respect of a large number of friends. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Wunder, who have been a resident of this city for a number of years. He is employed as plumber for Nessler and Hammel, with whom he has worked for the last eight years. He is a faithful and trustworthy employee and is held in the highest esteem by his fellow workmen, as well as by numerous other friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wunder will make their future home in Dubuque.
