IN TRUCK - AUTO CRASH

Frank M. Hess of Farley, Ia. was being treated Saturday for a back injury and a fractured rib, after having been hurt in an accident Friday afternoon.

Hess was backing his machine on to the highway when a truck loaded with corn, driven by Frederick W. Jones, of Independence, Ia. crashed into the rear of his car, causing considerable damage to both vehicles according to the report received by the Dubuque County Sheriffs office.

Hess’s injuries were not revealed until Saturday morning, when he underwent an operation by a Dyersville physician the sheriff said.
