Funeral services were held for Nettie Lenz, 74, of Lake Park on Thursday, January 10, 1980, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park with the Rev. Doug Ganyo officiating. Soloist was Kenneth Byers who sang, "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Nettie Faye Lenz was born to William and Pearl Burger in Illinois on October 30,1905, and moved to Lake Park, Iowa in 1920. On May 14, 1924, she was united in marriage to Adam Lenz Jr. in Spencer, Iowa. To this union three children were born: James, Kenneth and Marlene. The family farmed in Dickinson County, retiring in 1963 and moved to their present home in Lake Park. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Lake Park, a member of the U.P.W. and of the Womens Cemetery Society.

Nettie passed away on January 7, 1980.

She is survived by her husband, Adam, and two children, James of Russell, Minnesota and Marlene of Lake Park; two grandsons, three granddaughters, and one great grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Cecil Ahrens of Paullina, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Kenneth.

Pall bearers were Arlo Lenz, John Lenz, Milo Lenz, Gerald Zahren, Cecil Zahren and Burdette Ahrens. Interment was in Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park, Iowa, with Leyson Funeral Home of Lake Park in charge of arrangements.
