Services for Adam George Lenz, Lake Park, were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 1992 at First Presbyterian Church, Lake Park. Rev. Randall Knuth officiated. Music was provided by Marian Tuinstra, organist and Kenneth Byers, soloist. Pall bearers were Burdette Ahrens, Earl Baish, John Lenz, Marlin Vetter, Cecil Zahren and Gerald Zahren.
Adam was born to Adam and Mary Lenz on December 30, 1898 in Westport Township, Dickinson County. He attended country school. On May 14, 1924 he married Nettie F. Burger in Spencer.
Mr. Lenz loved farming which he did all of his life in Dickinson County. In his younger years he enjoyed playing house and barn dances with his two brothers-in-law. He was musically talented and could play the violin, mandolin, and the drums. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Park.
Mr. Lenz, 93, died Saturday, April 4 at the Lake Park Care Center, Lake Park. Preceding him in death were his wife, son Kenneth, granddaughter, Ellen, one brother and six sisters.
Survivors include his son James, Garvin, MN; daughter Marlene Gordon, Spirit Lake; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Burial was in Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park. Turner Funeral Home, Lake Park, was in charge of arrangements.
