LEN FELLOWS DIED SUDDENLY TUESDAY

The sudden passing of one of Milford's best men Tuesday morning came as a shock to the community. Len Fellows answered the last call and a home has been made desolate. Nothing can take the place of a husband or father. Nothing can replace an upright, honorable citizen.
Len Fellows had been a resident of Milford vicinity for, 20 years and for 20 years his life has been an example of high minded living, devotion to duty, both to his neighbor and his God. He exemplified those traits of character that marked him as a good man. He was loyal and courageous, honest and kindly. The beauty of his home life is manifest by the filial devotion of his children and the true love of his heartbroken widow. In speaking of his death with friends tears came to their eyes, showing the respect they held for him. "His work was not done, yet his column is broken. His death was untimely and his brethren mourn."
Leonard Wallace Fellows was born July 15, 1876, at Kewanee, 111., son of Benjamin Franklin Fellows and Mary Etta Fellows, and passed away at his home near Pocahontas Point. May 2, 1833, at the age of 56 years, nine months and 17 days. He attended. high school at Kewanee, and at the age of 16 came to live with his sister, Minnie, at Coon Rapids, Iowa. He engaged in of farming and on March 6, 1901, was united in marriage at Coon Rapids to Miss Clara House. To this union four children were born, Frank, Beatrice and Ruth, all of Milford, and a daughter, Grace, who passed away at the age of one year The family moved to Milford in 1913 and again took up farm work. On account of ill health, he returned from the farm four years ago and for the past two years he was manager of the Hanford Produce Co. at Milford.
Tuesday morning while at work he was taken suddenly ill and was taken home by his daughter, Ruth. A physician was called at once, but before his arrival, Mr. Fellows had passed away.
Besides his immediate family the deceased is survived by a brother, Roy Fellows, of Oklahoma; and two sisters, Lucy Noel, of Snohomish, Wash.; and Minnie Titterington, of Milford, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The deceased was a member of the First Congregational church of Milford. He was also a member of Gloaming Lodge No. 482 A. F. and A. M. Milford, and of the Spirit Lake chapter, R. A. M., Azotus Commandery, Spencer, and Abu Bekr Temple, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Sioux City, and the Order of Eastern Star at Milford.
Funeral services will be held in the Methodist church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and burial will take place in the Okoboji cemetery.
