Mrs. Elizabeth Titterington passed away Sept.. 5, 1963 at University Hospital in Iowa City following, a heart attack from which she had been ailing for a number of months. She was 68 years, 10 months and 18 days of age at her passing.

Funeral services were held Sept. 8, from the Leyson Funeral Home in Milford with interment in the Milford cemetery. Rev. Harry Rutzen of the Jehovah Witness church of Pipestone, Minn, officiated at the service. Music was provided by Esther Fellows. The pall bearers were nephews,
Arlo and Mild. Lenz of Arnolds Park, Cecil and Gerald Zahren and James Lenz of' Lake Park and Don Vetter, a nephew-in-law, of Larrabee.

Elizabeth E. Lenz was born to Adam and Mary Lenz of Lake Park on Oct. 18, 1894 on a farm in Westport township, Dickinson county now occupied by a sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zahren. She received her schooling in Westport No. 9 school and grew to womanhood there. She remained at home occupying her. time with family duties until her marriage to Clarence Harlow Titterington in Sioux Falls, S. D., Oct. 30, 1913. To this union were born three daughters and five sons. She and her husband and. family farmed in the Milford and Lake Park areas until the death of her husband in September of 1949. Mrs. Titterington moved to Iowa City in 1952 where she was employed by the University Quadrangle Cafeteria until her retirement in 1960. She will be remembered by her great devotion to her children and grandchildren. She became a member of the Jehovah Witness church and remained faithful until her passing.

Besides the passing away of her husband, two sons also preceded her an death, Wayne at the age of five years and Ralph at the age of 40. She is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. R. J. Mann (Marcell) of Missouri Valley, Mrs. James Ferguson (Eloise) of Iowa City, and Mrs, David Sellers (Joyce) of Washington, Iowa; three sons, Earl H. of West Liberty, Daryl E. of Chamberlain, S. D., and Dallas T. of Los Banes, . Calif. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends including two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Kathryn) Zahren and Mrs. Gilbert Charlotte) Zahren Of Lake Park and-two brothers,. Adam Lenz of Lake Park and Nick Lenz of Arnolds Park.
