Milford Mail, Milford, Dickinson, Iowa, USA March 16, 1905

Lenz - At her home eleven miles west of Milford, on Wednesday, March 8th, 1905, aged 38 years.

It is with a feeling of profound sympathy for the bereaved, that we chronicle the death of one of the most interesting personages in. the western part of the county. Mrs. Mary Lenz, wife of Adam Lenz, aged 38 years and a few days. One of the very sad features of her decease, is the fact that eight children are left to mourn their loss, the youngest a babe of ten days. Mrs. Lenz was born in Mercer County, Illinois, Feb. 23 1867 and died at her home eleven miles west of Milford on Wednesday March 8th, 1905.

She was married to Adam Lenz at Marston, Illinois, Feb. 18, 1836, and moved to Dickinson County, Iowa, in 1888. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and had been a loyal member of that church until her death. Funeral service took place at the home on Friday morning conducted
by Rev. Chambers of Milford. Interment at Hagerty. The sympathy of the whole community goes out to the sorrow ones.
