Funeral Services Held For Robert Sproessig

Funeral services were held from the Knowls-Leyson Funeral Home in Lake Park Thursday afternoon June 28, for Robert Oliver Sproessig, who died Saturday, June 21. Rev. Ernest Larson officiated at the services. Burial was made in the Westport township Cemetery at Lake Park beside the body of his wife.

Mr. Sproessig, son of Adam Oscar Sproessig and Liza Weatherby, was born June 30, 1886 in Oelwein and died at his home in Blue Hill township, Minnesota at the age of 72. t the age of six years he moved with his parents to a farm at Mud Lake, Iowa where he spent his childhood years. In 1915 he married Margaret Estella Lenz of Lake Park and in 1917 they moved to a farm in Blue Hill township, Minnesota where he continued to make his home until his death. His wife preceded him in death in 1926.

Mr. Sproessig is survived by three sons: Durward of Jacksonville. Arkansas, Oscar Robert of Princeton and Richard Joe of Zimmerman. Two brothers, Charles of Zimmerman and Joseph also survived.
