Geise Blackert died on the 5th, after a lingering and painful illness. His widow is still a resident, as are his sons, C. E. of Milford, and E. G. of the BEACON. The paper speaks in warm terms of the deceased, who was at the time of his death a member of the board of supervisors. He was a soldier in the civil war, a man of high character and of much more than ordinary ability.
