Archer Bert Ash

Archer Bert Ash, son of Archer Grant and Lena E. Ash, was born Dec. 20, 1893 on a farm near Superior and died Dec. 20, 1969 at Hilltop House Nursing Home in Spirit Lake.

Mr. Ash lived his entire life in Dickinson County, farming near Superior until his retirement in 1960. He was a member of the Methodist Church and Odd Fellows Lodge.

On May 31, 1931, he was united in marriage to Emma M. Drummond at Spirit Lake. The couple farmed east of Spirit Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Emma, and a sister, Mrs. Leofie Sharp of Spirit Lake.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22, 1969 at the Donovan-Leyson Chapel in Spirit Lake with Rev. Wayne Carlson, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating.

Special music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Redington. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery with the Donovan-Leyson Funeral Home in charge.
